Overview
The Mod coil shock is built for sensitivity, control and reliability. Coil shocks excel at initial-touch sensitivity. The Mod's high oil flow damping circuit and large volume bladder oil reservoir give fine levels of grip. They also allow the shock to run cooler, giving a consistent feel on long descents. The mid to end stroke is controlled by Formula's Compression Tuning System (CTS), rider-changeable valves that increase or decrease hydraulic flow to tune the shock's characteristics.
Features
Large-volume bladder reduces friction and reaction time compared to Internal Floating Piston for improved small-bump sensitivity.
30mm internal piston with large diameter oil circuits for improved sensitivity and reduced friction.
Better heat management provides consistent feel on long descents and increases reliability.
Compression Tuning System (CTS) with user-changeable valves - Gold (light), Orange (mid), Green (firm).
Three CTS valves included for professional tuning without cost or complexity.
17-click compression adjustment for precise platform control.
13-click rebound adjustment to match terrain and riding style.
Two-position compression switch: Open for descending, Firm for efficient climbing.
Simple polyurethane bump-stop prevents harsh bottom outs without complex hydraulics.
Coil spring preload adjustment for fine-tuning ride height and sag.
200-hour major service intervals for reliability and home serviceability.
Available in both standard and trunnion mount configurations.
Yoke mount compatible version available for specific frame designs.
Ultralight steel coil springs in Ultraviolet or Graphite colors.
Wide range of spring rates from 300-700 lb/in to match any rider.
10 Year Support Promise - parts and support available for at least ten years.
